<p>This seems bizarre, that to lose weight, I am telling you to flee from fat free items. There are several reasons for this. First, when they take the fat our, sugar is added instead. As sugar is added, so are calories, more carbs, and because of this, no more weight loss. A second reason is that psychologically, when people see that something is fat free, they figure that they can eat as much as they want. I have many friends who gorge themselves on fat free desserts thinking that it won&#8217;t impact their diets because there is no fat in it. Strangely, they are still overweight. Finally, is that when fat is removed, chemicals are often added. I try to only eat foods the way that God made them, not how science can recreate them. I find myself feeling much better when I eat only natural foods. I know that this is unscientific, but I am much more likely to eat healthy if it makes me feel healthy and energized.</p>

Here are the last 2 simple to follow tips that will lead you to eat healthier and get slimmer in a way that you can stick with for life.</p>
<p>Eat Healthier Tip #4 &#8211; Don&#8217;t Be Late for Dinner</p>
<p>Or eat after 8:00 at all really. It takes time for your food to digest and your body needs time to burn calories before you conk out for the night. Select a time several hours before you fall asleep and simply do not eat after that time. I don&#8217;t snack later than 8:00 and this gives my body a good 3 hours to digest and burn calories before I go to bed. It can take some planning to make sure that you have your day scheduled to allow you time to eat dinner early enough, but it will soon be a habit.</p>
<p>Eat Healthier Step #5 &#8211; Eat Like a Kid Again</p>
<p>Now, I fully admit that I have absolutely no scientific proof that this is true. This is my better half&#8217;s belief, and the more people that I talk to, and the further I research, the more I think she may be on to something. Her argument goes that your body gets used to the way you ate growing up, and learns to process those kinds of foods better than others. If you ate rice everyday (like she did) growing up, your body is not going to know what to do with a low/no carb diet. People who were raised in other cultures often become sick or have a &#8220;heavy&#8221; feeling when eating western food, even if it seems well balanced. I am not at all advocating that you continue to eat a poor diet because that is what you ate as a youngster, but be mindful of the healthier foods you ate in abundance and don&#8217;t elimintate them from your diet.</p>
<p>Between the two sections, there are five easy to follow tips.  If you are serious about your health and your weight, these tips are a great place to start.  But keep reading, and stick with it!  The important thing to remember is that you can do it.  It may not be easy, and it won&#8217;t always be fun, but believe me it is worth it.  I feel better than I have in years, and I know that I look better too!</p>

But when I read about how they ask people to eat, I quiver. Low carbs, no carbs, counting points &#8211; they either make eating a chore, are seriously unhealthy, or both. Stay away from the extreme diets and start to eat healthier, and not only will you begin to lose weight, you will feel better and have more pep to boot. Most people that I know that have lost weight with a &#8220;new&#8221; diet felt awful while they were following the diet. They were losing weight, but the way that they felt hungry all the time makes it nearly undoubtable that people will not stick to these diets for any length of time, leading to the yo-yo. Here are 5 simple to follow hints that will help you to eat healthier and get slimmer and change .</p>
<p>Eat Healthier Tip #1 &#8211; First, Eat Your Vegies</p>
<p>This is a tip that my grandpa used to tell me to do so that I could get the &#8220;yucky&#8221; veggies out of the way and get done with wrap up dinner with a pleasant taste in my mouth. Today, I make sure to tell people about this for two reasons. First, a very practical reason. If you are going to fill up before you finish your meal, it is better to have already eaten the healthier fruits and veggies than anything else on your plate. And second, the sugars that are in fruits and vegetables break down in digestion much faster than the other foods on your plate. It is preferable to eat the fruits and veggies first so they quickly and painlessly make it through the digestive process. If you eat your fruits and vegetables later in a meal, they can get caught behind slower digesting foods and cause stomach discomfort and bloating.</p>
<p>Eat Healthier Tip #2. What&#8217;s the Process</p>
<p>Stay away from processed foods! Your body does not know how to deal with processed food. The &#8220;process&#8221; typically leeches the fiber, vitamins and enzymes naturally occurring in the ingredients and to make it appear healthy they &#8220;enrich&#8221; the item with synthetic or animal derived vitamins that aren&#8217;t nearly as good for your body as the originals. This one can be difficult to stick to as almost everything in the grocery store contains processed food. But remember, nothing good can come from eating processed foods. read  the ingredients and if there is anything that a third grader cannot pronounce, it is probably better to stay away from it!</p>
<p>Eat Healthier Tip #3 &#8211; Match, Don&#8217;t Clash</p>
<p>I still hear my mom calling, &#8220;Go in and change your clothes &#8211; those don&#8217;t match&#8221; As a youngster I did not care that clothes were supposed to match. I picked a sweatshirt I liked, some shorts I liked, and flips I liked and I wore them proudly. Strangely, food works in much the same way. There are certain foods that &#8220;match&#8221; better with others. If you are going to eat a food that has sugar, make sure it&#8217;s balanced with fiber to help from spiking your blood sugar and to aide in digestion. Your body needs Vitamin D and &#8220;good&#8221; fats to make sense of, or unlock the true goodness of several types of vegetables. Often, if you&#8217;re going to eat carbs, balance them with protein to make feeling full last longer.</p>
<p>These are 3 easy to follow rules (and 3 more will follow in the next section) to help you to begin a habit of eating better. Eat like this, you will see in increase in your energy level and a decrease in your weight. And, while the weight loss will not be as rapid as some of the fad diets, it will come and you will be able to keep it off for good. <p> Your body is designed that way that it slows down the energy burning process, also called metabolism, when there is not enough food or fat stored in your body. The reason your metabolism is build that way goes back to the days where you and I were cavemen and was hunting for a living, we could risk days without any food, which is why the metabolism works the way it does. The only problem is, that our metabolism really have not adjusted that much since then, and today we need much less food, because we do not do that tuff work anymore</p>
<p> Keep you food simple, avoid sauces and fat. Besides that you should split up your food intake in 5 to 6 meals per day depending on the amount of hours you are up. This way you keep your body engaged and your metabolism is up and running </p>
<p>Exercise</p>
<p> Gyms are one place you can go to lose weight, but many people do not like going to the gym, which is understandable enough, the good news is there are other way to work out </p>
<p>Most important are that you keep being active  as much as possible and get your heart rate up and running. Walking is good for weight loss, but not to improve your metabolism here you need to speed up your heart rate by doing some interval training.</p>
