I learned swimming when I was 9 years old and I think that is normally the best time to learn to swim. Learning when young is always beneficial hence why many parents take their children to swim at young age. It is also beneficial health wise. When I was learning to swim I loved going to my local community outdoor swimming pool as it had swimming pool enclosures as it felt like an indoor pool and I could swim even if it was raining. I also hurt my arm in my first lesson because I was not water friendly and panicked and crashed in to the swimming pool filters. Now I swim like a fish.
