Is Blur The Game For You?

Now I know what you are thinking, not another driving game right? This is another driving game but it is not the same as other driving games, let me talk about this further. I personally think they have merged several games into one with this, Mario Kart, Forza and Wipeout, it works perfectly. The last game this studio made was Gotham racing but they do not play the same at all.

The races are always utter madness from the start to finish which is great. Just because you have managed to actually stay first the entire race it does not actually mean you will cross that line first. The main reason that this game reminds me of Wipeout is because of the powerups that you can use in the game. There are eight of them in total within the game and they range from offensive ones like the bolt, shunt, barge, mine and shock to the defensive ones like the nitro boost, repair and shield.

With the powerups you can actually pick the one you want as long as you drive into the correct item so it isn’t like Mario Kart in that respect. It is really the weapons in the game that remind me so much of the Mario Kart series and the red shell is the shunt and the green shell is the shock, the mines of course act like the bananas do. Even if you are one of the best drivers in the world when it comes to Forza, Need for Speed and other driving games do not expect to come out on top here as most of this is about avoiding getting hit rather than winning.

Back in the real world you won’t find anything like this when it comes to Car Leasing and New Audi and you won’t find that your Reverse Parking Sensors fire off heat seeking missiles, sorry about that.
